I went looking for The Wizard of Oz: 85th Anniversary (883929831852) and ended up with an unknown. So, I went ahead and created a new entry for it. But, when I tried to contribute it, I was shown that it already exists and pointed out my differences. Not surprisingly, my entry is being voted no because of some changes to the existing profile. But, I can't see the existing profile, even if I go looking to add it by looking for it by title (US). WTF!

There is one for the U.K and Australia, but obviously they have an EAN number.

So, how can I add this non-existing, existing profile?

For some reason, the program won't let me.

That contribution was built from scratch, which is why the reviewers don't like some of what I put in the profile.

I got it via a roundabout way. Why the program refused to find it in the database is beyond me.

I manually entered the UPC and created a totally blank profile. I then did a refresh of the DVD and that found the profile.

It happened again. This time with an Avatar 2024 UK 3D release. Looks like I'm going to have to do the manual entry of a non-found UPC and do a refresh before attempting to build the profile from scratch.

Obviously, this issue is never going to be fixed.

Just to check have you done the refresh online profile list trick?

Open profiler go to Online > Select Online Profile List left click with CTRL held down.

This forces it to a proper refresh and should fix not found issues.

Are you saying that the normal profile update isn't good enough? Normally when I do an add, before I enter the info, a profile list update is done.

Possibly. It seemed to start being an issue when they had some sort of server failure and switched to a new one. At the time a lot of profiles wouldn't show as being available without doing the "ctrl" refresh. It seems to have been ok for me recently but it's worth trying in your case if you've never done it before.
